You and your bestie share a unique love story. And now you've found your pawfect story-teller.
Urban Dog Photography was founded by photojournalist, Renee Carolla. Not just another pretty face with a fancy camera, Renee's award-winning photojournalism career spans over three decades. As a young pup, she was hired fresh out of college to join a newspaper staff in her home state of New Jersey. She covered a wide-range of assignments in the greater New York City area . . . everything from small town parades, to Presidential debates to Manhattan's famous fashion week to summer ball games at Yankee stadium to Bruce Springteen concerts!
With over 100 Press awards under her belt, she was offered a full-tuition scholarship to study Visual Communications at Ohio University's prestigious E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. After completing her Master's she became publisher of her own weekly newspaper. She started an "Adopt Me" page for local shelter pets to help fine them homes. A few years down the road, she sold her publication to a larger Daily newspaper. With an undying entrepreneaurial spirit and some dough in her jeans, she dug her toes in the sand and started what became a successful beach portrait/wedding photography business on Hilton Head Island, SC. Her beautiful canvas portraits of loving families (in white and khaki of course) hang above fireplaces all around the world.
During a weekend getaway to the Upstate of SC she discovered the magical appeal of Greenville. She eventually relocated and decided to offer a service that very few people had heard of . . . Soulful Dog Photography. She founded Urban Dog Photography in Downtown Greenville in 2008. Renee's studio became the very first and remains the only 100% pet dedicated studio in the Upstate. There's no one more qualified to capture the LOVE of DOG . . . so book your session today!
